To ensure long-term durability and prevent bowing under heavy loads, Palmer Closet Rods longer than 48" are reinforced with a solid stainless steel interior. For rods exceeding 72" in overall length, we recommend the use of a Center Support bracket. This discreet yet essential component provides additional structural support at the midpoint of the rod, maintaining a level and secure installation—especially important in high-use or luxury wardrobe applications. Precision-machined in solid brass, the Center Support seamlessly matches the finish of the rod system for a cohesive, elevated appearance.
